Ryuji Ueno, MD, Ph D., PhD. established the company in Osaka in 1989 to pursue pharmaceutical research, development and manufacturing based on his proprietary technologies.
In April 2001, the Pharmaceutical Division of Ueno
Fine Chemical Industry Ltd. was transferred to R-Tech
Ueno, Ltd. At the same time, R-Tech Ueno obtained
the manufacturing/marketing rights of Rescula® eye
drop.
In April 2003, all employees of Pharmaceutical Division of Ueno Fine Chemicals Industry, Ltd., were transferred to R-Tech Ueno.
